What is a dream you had that never became a reality?

Since the age of 7, Lisa dreamed of performing on stage “en pointe.” While ballet could not be a priority during Lisa’s childhood, college years, married life, and the joys of motherhood, she never let go of her dream to Perform “en pointe.”

At 48 years young, Lisa enrolled in adult beginner ballet; bought her first pair of pointe shoes at 49, and at her 50th birthday party, she performed a 50-second variation, en pointe, for her guests, and thus the journey began to pursue her dreams deferred! She hired director Bree McCoy, and she followed Lisa around for a year and a half, documenting her progress and struggles. While in the midst of training, Lisa is confronted with sudden life-changing news that sends her spiralling, only to be saved by her love for ballet. After hitting rock bottom, she laces up her ballet shoes again and sautés herself back into ballet. After 45 years of waiting, at the age of 53, Lisa’s dream became a reality as she stepped on stage for the first time en pointe.
